• The Macon Plan, developed by AYERS/SAINT/GROSS, provides a good example of a plan for rebuilding a devastated, low-income neighborhood in a southern city, a description that now applies in the extreme to areas of New Orleans. The design guidelines and patterns help to provide builders and remodelers with plans that add character while keeping reasonable budgets.
