Goals for Project
Draw attention to what transportation people can bring to CNU as a whole.

How can CNU advance quality of pedestrian environment and simultaneously simplify understanding of problems and solutions?

Outcome/Result/Products
Character of streets and land use works for all modes.

Also, tranpsortation group reports back to CNU as a whole. As a follow-up to new transportation summit, someone presents nuts and bolts of pedestrian science at a plenary session at CNU.

Methodology/Objectives
Design needs -- Is CSD manual adequately addressing pedestrian issues? What's missing? What needs to be flushed out in greater depth?

Public processes -- Who's doing innovative things? Develop toolkit.

How can/should urban investments be prioritized? CNU to develop methodology based upon land use and connectivity goals.

Measures of Success
Get tech sheets/tool kit/picture guidlines out there -- publish under CNU?

Develop a simplified process to develop methodology and target investments where most needed.

'''Resources Needed"'
CNU can make reference bibliography of other pedestrian manuals available.

Potential to have "toolbox" entirely as a website. (APBP has something similar already so avoid duplication of effort."

Potential Partners
Interest in a pre-summit training session for educating both local officials and summit attendees on pedestrian issues. (Dan, Michael, Ryan)

Go Boulder will assist with CNU summit event.

Timeframe
Share resource lists ASAP as part of announcing Boulder event for 2006.

Select group to review CSD manual from pedestrian perspective in March after initial release. Then will need to decide if work can be done pre-Boulder or started in Boulder, using the community as an outdoor labratory for Pedestrian Science.
